Do you think it is appropriate for your wife to have/wear body piercings (specifically nose and tongue)? What is considered too old for a married woman (with children) to be wearing these?
I am not into piercings that alter the looks of a woman, like nose piercings. A tongue piercing is a sexual thing between a man and his woman, if you like it then who cares about her age. Other non-visible piercings (if you know what I mean) are also between a man and his woman. If she wants them and it turns you on, then by all means go for it. I have no issue with any kind of facial piercings, but I think navel and nipple piercings are gross.
I wondered why they called them "ear"rings back then?
My wife and I can't stand body piercings. Certain body parts weren't meant for this.

When I see a woman with alot of piercings, it makes me wonder: Just WHERE does she draw the line concerning how many other things she lets get poked into her?
I don't care for them in myself or my spouse. If another couple likes them, more power to them.

Definatley not a tongue ring.Its good for sex but not presenatble art all.Nose ring will be all right or any where else.If you have a tongue most guys will think your a freak in the bed and they will not respect you and your husband.
From the stand point of a husband the tongue this is for the 20 year old single girl that wants to use that ring for what it is put there for. So I would say tongue needs to be removed after kids or before kids get to the age of 6 to 7 years. The nose if its something small like a diamond that is fine until 40. After that you are really trying to hard. I hope this answers your question.
I think it is attractive to a point. The nose/eyebrow/belly button can all be sexy when appropriate and not all at once. It can be seductive and enticing, but too much can look bad. I do not care much for tongue piercings. The nipples and "below" are way overboard and send the entire wrong message.
I don't think age is much of a consideration, it is really more attitude. If it looks good, do it. Just use common sense.
