I wouldn't do it, but if you want to then just bring it up in a conversation or something. Don't make it a thing telling them, just casually place it into an ongoing conversation and see how things go from there. Like if they said "oh that's gay" then you could say "if I were gay, that'll be pretty insulting" and go from there.
