My daughter is 18 months old, and right now she uses the baby swing still. Just wondering when most kids can sit on a regular swing without falling off. The child I nannied for last year was 2 1/2 in the fall and sat okay on the swing...buy a big girl swing and see how she does but keep the baby swing just in case
It really depends on how big they are and if they know how to use a regular swing. my niece just turned 3 and she uses a regular swing but she has always known how to hold on. I think that 2 years old is too young but it really depends.

one time i put my 13mo old daughter in a regular swing and she flew out and broke her face.
