I made four apple pies and covered the "open" tops with Saran wrap and put then in the fridge until tomo... i was thinking of making all the tops the same but that seems boring.... does anyone suggest anything? maybe a crumble top? Lace top? full lid? what do you think?

and as far as the pic you just posted, cut strips out of your dough and twist them. this will take quite awhile obviously, but twist them and when you want to lay them on, press a finger on each piece near the rim and press down... the others should just lay on top. very pretty thuohg

1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Make French Crumb Topping by mixing 1/3 cup butter and 1/3 cup brown sugar together. Cut in 3/4 cup flour. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle topping over apples in pie plate. Bake for 50 minutes at 325 F or until topping is golden.
TIP: For a lovely taste thrill, mix 3 or 4 teaspoons of cinnamon into 1 quart softened vanilla ice cream. Refreeze. Serve a scoop of the cinnamon ice cream on warm apple-pie slices.
