What is the cause of the Firefox cant find the server message ::
My internet works fine. I can surf onto any server. I can also download using limewire uTorrent. The only problem that arises is for connecting to servers. I cannot

I have moved from 1and1 to theplanet. Since I have moved my site does nothing but crash.

10. average is around 225 max is around 390. I dont know what my cookie time out is.

Usually it's in the directory where your MySQL databases are stored. The filename itself is your server's hostname .err.

So, one of our server's hostnames is "db" so the file would be called: db.err

Our data directory is: /var/lib/mysql

So, your error log file may be: /var/lib/mysql/something.err

You probably just need some MySQL settings tweaking, but while you wait for George to help you, we could take a look to see if it's actually something more than an unoptimized server.

FYI, server optimisation isn't officially included in vB support, it's done as a courtesy for basic tweaking advice via the forums where possible.

2.6.9-42.0.10 is too new to know if the load bug still exists - only kernel which seems to have confirmed to not have the issue is 2.6.9-42.0.2

Next time you have high cpu load, repost output for these 2 commands

They changed the settings for me but didnt update mysql.

A few hours later I got this load.

120.81 75.14 36.43 with 300 users online.

Once again I had to have the server manually rebooted.

Does anyone have any suggestions for my issues?
And is there a way to open a ticket with vbulletin to get you to look at the server?

Is there anything happening in your MySQL error log?

you're using 500+ mysql concurrent connections either your traffic has grown or DDOS attack or something as that server won't handle that many connections and would require splitting to 2x dual cpu server setup one for web + one for db server

Then tried to do this. /var/lib/mysql/host.b20vtec.com.err

but its telling about some type of swap file and gives me code e325 so I stopped because I wasnt sure what to do.

Can you tell me how to check the error logs?
