I really suggest you buy a book about bunnies or read up all about them online. Hope i helped a little but the books will help a lot.

1, Putting a few stools or a bit of urine shavings or whatever bedding you use in the litter tray should encourage them to use it. Sometimes putting hay in it like you do can encourage them,but sometimes it can discourage them. http://www.bunniesbarn.co.uk/productssim...

2. That's perfectly fine for a rabbit urine colour,it can be from very pale yellow to almost a blood red. If the rabbits urine is dark that can mean it got too much Calcium in its diet. My bunnies urine is light to dark yellow.If they are fed more greens this can have an affect too.
Also when urine is exposed to the atmosphere it can darken slightly.

3. Yes rabbits can eat rice in very small amounts,but it has got a lot of carbohydrates in it,which can cause stomach upsets. So if your going to feed it only feed a teaspoon every day,no more.

4, No rabbits get enough salt from their mix/pellets,they DO NOT need a salt block,giving one of these can cause more problems then it solves,many pet shops sell this salt wheels etc,but your bunny doesn't need one. It can give an over load of salt which can be very harmful.
If you want you can give a Mineral block,because these aren't too high in the minerals. My local pet shop sells Seaweed Mineral blocks which can make a bunnies coat really shine!!
