Are you using any type of moisturizer or makeup on your face that has SPF in it? Even if you put it on in the morning and then go tanning later in the day, the SPF may have an effect on how tan your face is getting.
Spellbound is an awesome lotion!! But i would definitely try a face lotion. Designer skin has a few that are really good....california tan also has a good one! I would suggest to not try too hard to tan ur facce though....it sounds like because it is getting red...ur damaging ur skin....the more and more u go in and try to tan ur face....the more and more it will get red and the more u will damage it...causing wrinkles. I would suggest covering ur face for half ur session...that way it will get some exposure...but not too much...and it will start tanning!
Are you puting lotion on your face that has an SPF in it that would be the reason its not tanning then
In a word ... bronzer!
In 20 years, instead of showing off your cleavage in nice low-cut tops, you will be covering it up because the skin on your chest will be a wrinkled, paper thin leathery mess. It's not worth it !!
Tanning is your skin's natural defense mechanism against DAMAGE that's happening to it.
I think that you should be grateful your face is going to be less wrinkly than the rest of you, and that you should stop tanning altogether before you die of melanoma, which, incidentally, may already be forming in the deeper layers of your skin but which may not appear for many years to come.
Yes, I sound alarmist, but I don't care.
Ask any dermatologist what they think of tanning beds, and the vast majority of them will shake their head at you.
The lotion could be the problem but to much suntanning can cause death. I have seen it happen.
step 1: lie in tanning booth
step 2: notice weird mole
step 3: ta-da! skin cancer!!!
