I didn't apply to Duke. I would've learned what it was like to support Madrid, and I didn't want to know that feeling.

Doesn't that make it a bit difficult for colleges to distinguish between applicants? There must be a lot of people bunched up in the 14-25 range - how to differentiate between 10,000 people all on 20?
Well, 14 is a bad score, but 22-26 is usually good enough to get you into good colleges. It roughly corresponds to 1050-1200 SAT score.

I got 1370 and 29 (IIRC for ACT, that was a long long time ago).
Anyway, I'm angry cuz the West Indies lost a match today that we really should have won. I also had a root-canal. I got rejected with a 1450, 3.8 and activities. However, I would've required nearly a full scholarship to attend. I was also rejected from Boston College, presumably for the same reason. (I got into some better schools, which is why I think the money was a factor, tho I could be wrong.) I bet a 1370 is good enough, but you'd have to have the other factors too.

Well, you have to have a minimum ACT plus minimum GPA (unfortunatelly those ********ers) to get accepted. Now whether you can actually afford to go is something else.

31 on the ACT (would have been higher if could add, subtract, multiply, and divide, all of which would have been helpful on the Math section :o ), 3.95 GPA in high school, but certainly wasn't active enough at my school and in my community, which probably cost me my shot at those schools.
I actually was perfect in Math and near-perfect in Science but butchered English :rolleyes:
And trust me, you weren't accepted NOT because of your ACT score. It's just one out of many criteria they take into consideration.

Edit: Actually just found the option at the bottom of the page to switch the colors to white and blue. :)
You got over 28 on ACT and wasn't accepted because of the score? I dunno, maybe some Ivy League schools have stricter rules, but I know 2 people that went to Northwestern and Duke with the score of 27.
