I have a 6 week old son Lincoln and he is my only child. I don't know nothing about children so were learning together about this strange new life of ours but I was wondering is it normal for my son to be squirmy, wiggling all the time. He already keeps his head up on his own so i don't know if that's normal or not. its like he's trying to fly away. If someone could help me out i would really appreciate it .
This is normal. My little guy was butting heads with me and everyone around him. He also would push with his legs and try to squirm himself out of my arms. Hold on tight he will get stronger. Good luck!!!
I'm sure he's fine. He just has some pent up energy and needs to get it out! My son was the same way...held his head up at two days old. Some babies are just stronger and more active than others. If you are that concerned, call your pediatrician! I think he just sounds like a typical boy....always on the move! LOL....you should look for a parenting class. Ask your local health dept or the babies doc. Or even your doc when you go for a checkup.
Anyways yes its normal. All my babies held their heads when they were first born. But all babies are different. If you contact me by email, then I will help you find a parenting class nearby.
mine would always wiggle..hated sitting still always had to walk him around..sounds normal...you'll get it sooner than you think!!
He sounds like a happy healthy boy! Mine is also six weeks and is doing the same thing. It's hard to get them to sit still!
For sure it's normal for them to be squirmy if he's whining though it might be gas. My baby totally kept her head up at that age to they are strong little buggers right off the bat already! Don't you wish babies came with their own instruction manual when they come out of you? You'll figure it all out that's the fun part! Good luck all you can do is your best! It's normal. He's discovering this big new world that he's in. He was curled up in your tummy for months and now he has freedom. Totally normal. They are all wiggly. Congrats
Lol, it's ALWAYS a learning process!
Your little one sounds completely normal. He's probably figuring out that he CAN move around and is just exploring his body.
my son was like that and he stayed like that he will be a year next month and he is so advance for his age...its not a bad thing and yes my son was a wiggle worm! and he was all about holding his own head up its nice when there that small! don't worry i felt exactly the same as you did with my first just remember ask for advice and listen not all child is the same but maybe you could take a tiny bit from what there saying and apply it to your situation! your baby is fine and your a normal mom to be worrying thats what we do! congrads and good luck!
my baby was the same way.... almost since birth. she's very strong. i just think it's amazing! my doctor is totally amazed with her strength. it just sounds like you have a slightly advanced baby (what my doctor told me).
very normal...it's good to have an active baby
