Sedgwick CMS | Client Bulletins:: Apr 20, 2009 Questions about the Sedgwick CMS web-based training program or session Sedgwick CMS and its affiliates design and implement customized http://www.sedgwickcms.com/clientbulletin.aspx?Bulletin=cb042009HOME | Ok, this is kinda confusing...
Well, I need a CMS thing, I think.
I need a program (PHP prefered) that
allows web design clients to login and
do the following:
-View an invioce...
-Open Tickets in a HelpDesk
-Edit page content, such as how they generaly want their
site to look, ie: Page Layout (Centered? Fixed?), website
colors, font, etc...
-Add a page, edit the body/heading text, etc.
-Upload images, (not too important).
I know that's a lot to ask for, but I've spent the
past couple of days writing my own
http://www.gallatinwebdesign.com/webdevcl/
user: demo pass: demo
and it still has a lot to do, and it's already
1,300 lines!
Well, I'm not expecting anything, but if there is
a CMS that I could somewhat easily customize to do
the above mentioned, what CMS would it be?
phpNuke? phpWebSite? Xoops? phpWCMS? Drupal?
Bah! Too many to choose from.
Well, thanks a lot in advance!

Hi,
I believe NetOffice covers all of this. I've used it for a few years
now and really like the client area they have.

let me know if this doesn't cover enough of your needs for you. I
believe it does, and it is very easy to work with on the customization
side of things

Hi,
Thanks for the response, but netOffice seems to be nothing
more then a project managment groupware.
It works a lot like phpProjekt and dotProject...
I used to have both of those installed...
I'll just assume the program I'm looking for doesn't exist,
I've posted questions about it in 7 different furoms,
webdeveloper.com, webdesignforums, phpforums, everything, even at
OpenSourceCMS.com...
I do appreciate the response, and I won't request a refund.
damn, this is rather frustrating, so, as far as you know,
there isn't anything made just for web-development companies
to allow clients to login and change the general look
of their site?
Thanks again.
-Aaron CMS Recommendations - Open Web Design Forums:: 10 posts - 10 authors - Last post: Apr 7, 2008I'm a web designer and would like to create a content management system (CMS) website for my clients. I want them to be able to make their http://www.openwebdesign.org/forum/showthread.php?t=505HOME |
I'll get back to you more Monday evening, but you might want to give
NetOffice another look. It does look like the others you mentioned but
the client login area is much better for what you are trying to do.
There is a little function that I use to use with the client changing
of html files in certain directories, and I can't recall right now
what that is, but I'll find it tomorrow and let you take a look at
that.
The only other option I can think of off the top of my head is
Macromedia's Contribute, but that is a bit expensive.
I'll get back to you however, don't give up hope yet.

Are you looking for something like an ISP managment office?

I just demo'd the programs you listed.
But still, not what I've been looking for.
I'm just gonna write my own,
here's what I've done in the past 5 days or so.

Thank you so much for your help,
I appreciate the time and depth you put into
you answers.
But the question I was asking WAS unanswerable,
I know this because a current system like the one
I'm looking for doesn't exist. I've been contacting lots
of web-design companies, and they all either use a CMS, for
real content modification, or they use thier own
program for database-only modification.
Thanks again! (You deserve a tip!)
