Hey guys, I was hoping we could brainstorm a little on an easteregg I want to include in a certain project Im working on (soon to put in the hand of thousands of cable employees).
The idea is to have a monkey and banana throwing. Thats about all that's required. What the game would entail and how its set up/what is done/can do etc etc etc, Id hope we could discuss here =)
Nothing too complex. I'd like to be able to complete it within an hour or two.

So far, what Im thinking is a monkey running around in the foreground of a beach with a palm tree (or a banana tree rather) where you in first person view with a crosshairs get to throw bananas at him. Whatdaya think?
and if u miss a monkey, the bannana peel lands on the ground, then if u trip over it, u lose a health point, or will that take too much time?

How about the monkeys run upto you (can easily be done with sen's awesome knowledge about 3D in Flash) to attack you but you need to distract them by throwing banana's from the tree standing next to you at them ?
Maybe the player should need to distract the monkeys of something by throwing banana's at them ...
Or how about just the classic “what’s it called”…rrmmm you know there are two monkeys, one on the left and the other on the right and they both are on root tops. They have explosive bananas that they have to throw to blow the other one up. Your need to get the angle right and the speed to hit the other monkey.

Keep it simple, I like the idea of to whole one-on-one monkey thing, chuckin' 'nanas this way and that. Lavalamp selling monkeys of DOOOM!
The monkeys have briefcases and are trying to get you to buy lavalamps, you have to type various insults into bannanas which are then thrown at them to make them leave!

Okay, the monkeys should be tiny things, very imp-ish, and kind of scuttle around kind of like crabs, and their eyes should just be black dots, and the mouth should look similar to a bear trap...

He he... that's crappy, but man, it's freaky.
There should be a tree on each side of the player, one's a coconut tree, the other a banana tree, and every few seconds the tree drops a fruit for the player to chuck.
If they survive the monkey onslaught, a rescue chopper comes in, picks up the player, and the wine, and the player lives in luxary by selling all the wine, and as the chopper flies off, all the monkeys stand on the beach and shake their fists in anger.

I remember a game like that called worms... Anyway.

And he's only got an hour or so, so how about a monkey in a suit, with a briefcase. You've got bananas, which you chuck at him (While he does some crazy jumps etc). He randomly 'blocks' by putting his briefcase infront of his face, and you score by hitting him with the bananas.
Just have a simple highscore table across the network, and do it against the clock. 9 times out of 10 it'll become the office competition craze...

Player is stranded on a deserted island, with a broken raft, and a couple of crates of Wine wich had survived the briny deep with you.
The monkeys are trying to steal the wine, and you have to fend them off by throwing bananas at them to distract them, and throwing coconuts at them to KO them.
Just an Idea... don't ask me where these things come from....
You're a merchant ship, wrecked, ended up on a stranded island. You have to throw bananas at the monkeys to keep them at bay, but you run out of them sooner or later.... you have a time limit each day to go find bananas, how many you find... is how fast you can click (frantically).....

Anyway... I can't think at all lately... I try... but I all get is ideas for stories.
And after a few events at school, the violent me is about to break out :ogre: so many fights might happen -_-
A few hispanics were just arrested trying to jump my friends with weapons on school grounds :jail:
and so we all have to watch our backs - trust no one - not even the friendly monkey who comes up to you with big goo goo eyes (wha?)
And so... been hectic lately. But after the trimester ends (2 weeks), I should have more time! Failing 4 classes out of 5 right now... so I have to freak out on papers to pass (my teachers like me :))
