Cognizant Technology Solutions (Nasdaq: CTSH), a leading provider of custom software development, integration and maintenance services, and infrastructure ASP Loudcloud Inc. Tuesday (Jan 16) announced a strategic alliance that will allow businesses to outsource the entire scope of activities needed to run the application and operations of an ebusiness.

As part of the partnership, Cognizant will manage a company's web application, while the back-end infrastructure that powers the customer's site will be managed by Loudcloud. This allows a company to focus on its core competencies, strategically leverage the Internet in new ways, grow their business and better service their customers and partners.

The Cognizant Application Management solution is a set of services aimed at taking over the complete responsibility for the ongoing enhancement, maintenance and support for complex Internet-based applications.
