How have other community (and/or 2-year) colleges set up their
distance learning centers? By distance learning we mean online and
video-linked classrooms specifically. We are not interested in
funding-- already have that. We need organizational charts, policies
for production of content, outlines of training programs for faculty,
and how technical support (help desk) for both students and faculty is
organized and implemented.
Hi techtor-ga,
What we need is examples we can use as models. Resources that take a
program manager step-by-step in setting up a program could also be
useful. Any models from community colleges specifically would be most
helpful, and general models would probably be useful as well. We are
not interested in services that would charge a fee to organize a
program for us. Thanks very much, looking fwd to seeing what you come
up with. Our deadline is very soon, so the sooner the better, please! Distance Learning:: for Academic Progress (CAP) or at a Genesee Community College Campus Center. Genesee Community College degree programs which can be completed 50% or more http://www.genesee.suny.edu/depts/DL/faq.cfmHOME |
Hello Gimmedatfonk,
I have dug up some policies of other distance learning programs on the
Internet, and some articles and websites that address the topic of
setting up a program. Are you looking for something like how-to-do
manuals for making a distance learning program or just examples you
can take from? Are you also looking for services or resources to help
you in the act of setting up the program? Do you need the answer to be
customized for a community college scenario or will general
information do? North Lake College: Web Policy:: Programs >> Distance Learning. Field Studies. Learning Communities of last visit to a specific page or to identify a session at a particular Web site. http://www.northlakecollege.edu/about/webpolicy.htmlHOME |
