Online software seller Beyond.com signed an
agreement with Novadigm Inc. by which Beyond.com will use
Novadigm's Radia technology to offer an Internet-based software update service
for its enterprise and consumer customers.
Initially, the subscription service will be targeted to meet the needs of
small- and medium-sized companies that want to reduce the complexity and
administrative burden of keeping their software current. Customers purchasing
from Beyond.com's selection of 5,600 electronically downloadable software
titles will have an opportunity to subscribe to a Radia-based service that
will automatically deliver the latest updates and enhancements.

"Small- and medium-sized businesses want to be sure they have the most
current updates for the software they've licensed, " said Alan DeClerck, vice-
president of worldwide sales for Beyond.com. "Subscribers to our service won't need
administrators to surf Web sites looking for updates and fixes. With a Radia-
based subscription, our customers can instead focus on running
their businesses."
