My sister in law let her bf drive her car and he got into an accident (rear ended someone) and he didn't have his license (a permit) and their insurance wont cover him and the other car is now claiming an injury. They are totally screwed.

Take my advice: NEVER let ANYONE drive your car especially if it your only mode of transportation. Not lending out your car isn't mean. It's smart!
