| ok, here's the deal:
We have a baby shower that will start at 9am on a Sunday and we need helium balloons (that float) for some of the decorations as well as for some of the party games.

The party store (the only place near by to buy helium balloons) does not open until 10:00am on Sunday.
They close at 9:00pm on Saturday night.

If we bought the balloons between 8-9pm on Saturday night, would they still float for the party at 9am on Sunday morning?
Or is that too long of a time to wait overnight and they would just sink?

Foil balloons filled with helium usually only start to go down after 3-4 days. In the right conditions it might last up to 8 days.
Laytex balloons just filled with Helium will last a day or two depending on temperature.However, treat them with Hi-Float and they'll last for several days -- http://www.hi-float.com/
