I think Mother Love Bone deserve more credit for their influence over the Seattle scene. They wrote some incredible songs, and if Andy Wood didn't overdose on heroin in March 1990, he would have been the face of the Seattle movement. Kurt Cobain was good friends with him, and I can't help but feel Kurt held animosity towards Eddie Vedder because the remaining members of MLB formed Pearl Jam. I know Kurt says it's because Pearl Jam was commerical and trying to jump on the bandwagon...but I don't know. Anyways im rambling. Mother Love Bone deserve more credit and respect. MQ: No
The beatles are very influential and very overrated
Same with U2
how bout Andrew McMahon from Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate. Super influential, and yet way under-rated
Helmet influenced many Alternative Rock bands of today, but where is their fame? Also, I agree that The Beatles did influence many bands, but they recieve WAY TOO MUCH recognition for the bands they influenced.
Kurt Cobain was indeed very influencial, but his technical ability is overrated...
The guys from Television were spectacular, but not very influential.
I think Phil Collins is overrated.
