I am a fit, fast 15 year old. I play football and lacrosse. I'm 5'7 and 130 pounds. My dad died of a heart attack, but thats the only history of heart disease in the family. My resting heartrate is less than 65 usually, but i can always see it pounding through my chest. It pounds hard, but not that much. When I work out, it pounds really hard and fast. I eat a lot, whatever I want usually. I dont know if my heart is okay.
I've had this for years. I can see my chest beating and feel it all the time like it's going to come out of my chest. I've had extensive heart tests and they were all normal. I'm 28, pretty healthy but I don't excercise. If it's bothersome you should see your doctor. Heart disease isn't rare for your age but I'm sure what you are experiencing is normal. If you do a search for it, you'll find that many people have this and it's usually caused by anxiety. If you worry a lot about it and then constantly pay attention to it, it will make it seem worse. That was my problem. Ask you doctor about it. He might want you to wear a holter monitor or an event monitor like I did. These are worn on the body, like a bunch of patches and are attached to a small device that looks like an ipod. They record events of the heart. They might also do a chest xray and an echocardiogram which is kinda like an ultrasound for the heart. None of these tests are painful and they will be able to tell if you have any kind of heart related diseases. Try not to worry about it, but please see your doctor. Hope this helps!
