This growth is not typically bothersome unless touched, burns if squeezed, but I don't notice any drainage at this time. I realize that only a physician can diagnose this, but just wanted some possible feedback as to what it could possibly be?
It sounds to me like you have a Bartholin's cyst. Here are some links to learn more about it. DISEASES OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN By SARAH A. WEBB, M.D. CONTENTS. Bottom line is that you should schedule an appointment with your doctor or gynecologist. He or she is the only person who can diagnose this. Sometimes you can treat this with antibiotics and sometimes it needs surgical intervention, sometimes both. The above websites give a lot more detail. I hope you find relief soon.
It's most likely a cyst, and nothing to panic about. Pop to your G.P to get it confirmed. They don't tend to remove them unless it's painful, but if they have to it's a simple procedure under local anesthetic ( I have a small cyst on my pubic bone and my G.P said if it needed removing he'd do it in the surgery!).
Hope this helps. :)
