I want to dual-boot Linux and Vista. I'm trying to shrink my 200GB NTFS partition by 50GB (there's 90GB free) so I have room for Linux. However, Disk Management (and every other partitioning program I've tried) will only let me shrink 16GB.
According to Auslogics Disk Defrag, there's some files near the end of the partition. No disk defragmenter seems to be able to move the files. How can I get these files (I don't know which they are) out of my way?
BAD MOVE John. Glad you asked in time for me to tell you it's a bad deal installing both OSs in a dual boot configuration. Especially with so little disk space already, I think you'd be in for a lot of grief.
I had XP & Linux and found out I ran out of disk space rapidly just thru normal usage.
If ever I had the inclination to do that again, I'd install a separate disk for linux.
