I think they are.
They are making the sequel Camp Rock movie as a made-for-tv movie, but I'm pretty sure that if they make a third movie it will be in theaters.
Also, why is it so easy to predict everything Disney does nowadays.
most certainly, they're already casting for Camp Rock 2 and have started shows for the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, this way the audience gets used to the actors and see the film becasue of this, it's the same strategy they used for HSM (Ashley Tisdale on Suite Life... and the HSM cast guest appearing on Disney's other shows)

another example... while HSM reigned supreme Monique Coleman (from HSM) hosted the 3-minute game show, now the mean girl from Camp Rock hosts it
yet another example... at the Disney Channel games 06 and 07... a lot of emphasis was put on the main HSM cast... now the focus is mainly on the Jonas Bros, Demi Lovato and Alyson Stoner... the two girls are on every other commercial talking about Camp Rock
Why are they making a second one? I thought nobody liked the 1st one! (I didn't...it was such an HSM rip-off, and the acting was really bad)
The voice dubbing was REALLY bad too, the scene where Joe Jonas's character was singing to Demi Lovato's character by the lake or whatever was stupid because you could hear the back-up singers...
It just proves how unorginial Disney Channel is.
Walt Disney would be ashamed to see whats happening to Disney, now.

The Jonas Brothers and singers and musicans, they dont need to be acting in Disney Channel movies.

i loved camp rock......they are probably gonna make a sequal that wont be as good and then kill it with another one thats goin to be in theaters.....sad how that happened to HSM.....

Probably. But i think the thing is, people actually like HSM. In fact I loved HSM (I've kind of grown out of that phase now). But I don't think people really like Camp Rock as much. Disney just thinks they do.
