CyberSource Corp. announced an
international payment processing
solution for Internet merchants using the services of NatWest (National
Westminster Bank), the largest acquiring bank in the U.K.
A part of the CyberSource Internet Commerce Suite of services, the new
international payment processing gateway allows merchants to accept payments
in over 150 different currencies and can credit merchant accounts in any one
of 19 currencies including the Euro.
CyberSource also provides multicurrency payment processing via IBM NetTrade
Finance and offers merchants direct links to major credit card processors
such as Vital, First Data Corp. and Paymentech.
"CyberSource's goal is to make it simple for merchants in any geographic
region to engage in global e-commerce," said Tony Bates, executive vice
president of international at CyberSource. "The new payment processing
gateway removes the impediments presented by multiple competing currencies."
